LOOKING FOR PERPETRATOR
There is a situation or paradox that always occurs in
many workplaces and almost unmistakable by eyes. That case can rise to the
level of theory because it repeated in front of us. In order to clarify that
theory, we have to give an example and address it later in order to complete
the picture. We have to imagine someone makes mistake unintentionally like an
employee broke such printer button and forget to report then he went on his way.
Then another employee came after him and discovered the malfunction of printer and
informed the manager. The manger reaction raged and starts searching for
perpetrator who broke the button. Of course he did not find the suspect and no
one confess as well.
The theory says , if the manager applies the role of
looking for the perpetrators , the spirit of negativity and carelessness will
prevail among employees because they will never doing more than their jobs or
tasks due to fear from punishment .
Anyone in responsible position should never rebuke employees
just because they making mistake. Mistakes necessarily occur in everywhere. This
violent style in that types of administrators make employees have not any
initiative due fear of punishment or threats. As a result, you will find those
employees bypass any problem and give nothing attention because they have an impression
that any interference would make them liable if any mistake happened.
This manager should not wasting time searching for
suspect because he push the people around say lies and he will never find the
perpetrator unless he takes.
If this policy changed and rebuilds the trust among
employees, reality will change and initiative will be established.
It’s better in workplaces to spread trust and not
fearing from making mistakes by encourage everyone to take responsibility.
